Philippi Model of Church Planting

The Philippi Model of Church Planting is a one-year training program for church planters who are actively in the process of planting a church.

The model is based on Acts 16 and the Apostle Paul’s ministry in Philippi. It draws practical principles from the biblical narrative and applies them to the cultural and social context in which a new church is being planted.

An Organic Approach to Church Planting

At its heart, the Philippi Model understands church planting as an organic result of evangelism, disciple making, prayer and obedience to God, rather than primarily as the establishment of programs or organizational structures.

Throughout the one-year process, participants learn while actively planting. The training helps them apply biblical principles in their local context, with particular emphasis on:

  • Evangelism
  • Disciple Making
  • Leadership Development
  • Establishing Christian Community
  • Multiplication
