15 Steps with Christ Bible Discovery Groups – Growing as a Kingdom Family

A simple journey to discover Jesus, follow Him, grow together and multiply disciples.

15 Steps with Christ is a Bible Discovery resource developed by Kingdom Family Movement (KFM). It provides a simple, reproducible pathway for people to discover the foundations of following Jesus directly from the Bible.

The resource can be used with people who are exploring faith, new believers, existing Christians, families, small groups and emerging communities of disciples.

Discover Jesus – Become a Kingdom Family

Following Jesus is not only an individual journey. Jesus calls people into a new community – a Kingdom Family that learns to love God, love one another and live out His Kingdom together.

The first Christians give us a powerful picture of this in Acts 2:42–47. They devoted themselves to:

• God’s Word – learning and living the truth
• Fellowship – sharing life and caring for one another
• Breaking Bread – gathering around the table
• Prayer – seeking God together
• Generosity – meeting practical needs
• Worship – praising God with joy
• Mission – sharing the Good News with others
• Multiplication – seeing new people and communities added

This is the heart of a Kingdom Family: people following Jesus together and helping others become His disciples.

15 Steps with Christ

The 15 Steps with Christ provide biblical topics and passages that help a group discover essential foundations of life with Jesus.

The emphasis is not simply on completing lessons or gaining biblical knowledge. Each discovery should lead toward faith, obedience and multiplication.

The process is simple:

• DISCOVER – What does God’s Word say?
• UNDERSTAND – What do we learn about God, Jesus and people?
• RESPOND – What will I put into practice?
• SHARE – Who can I share this discovery with?

A Simple Bible Discovery Group

Anyone can participate. A professional Bible teacher is not required. The Bible is the primary teacher, while a facilitator helps everyone participate and discover God’s Word together.

A group can follow a simple 3/3 rhythm:

LOOK BACK

How are you doing? What are you thankful for? How did you put the last discovery into practice? With whom did you share it?

LOOK UP

Read the Bible passage together. Retell it in your own words. What does it teach us about God? What does it teach us about people? What stands out to you?

LOOK FORWARD

What will you do in response to what you discovered? Who will you share it with? How can the group pray for you?

From a Group to a Kingdom Family

A Bible Discovery Group can begin anywhere – in a home, café, workplace, church, school, neighborhood or online.

As people continue meeting, following Jesus and caring for one another, the group can develop naturally into a Kingdom Family: a simple community of disciples that lives out the pattern of Acts 2 and participates in Jesus’ mission.

The journey becomes:

Discover Jesus → Believe → Follow → Obey → Grow Together → Share → Make Disciples → Multiply Kingdom Families

The goal of 15 Steps with Christ is greater than completing 15 studies. It is to help people become disciples of Jesus who live as a Kingdom Family and help others do the same.
