Finishing the Task (FTT) is a global mission initiative led by Rick Warren, focusing on completing the Great Commission by reaching every unreached and unengaged people group. Founded on the belief that every person deserves to hear the Gospel, FTT unites churches, mission agencies, and Christian leaders to engage unreached groups through church planting, Bible translation, and leadership development.
Vision and Leadership
Rick Warren, the founding pastor of Saddleback Church and a key leader in global mission efforts, serves as the driving force behind FTT’s vision. He emphasizes collaboration and unity in mission work, calling churches and organizations to work together to reach those who have never heard the message of Jesus.
Strategic Focus
FTT’s mission is grounded in the following key areas:
- Church Planting: Establishing churches in unreached regions and equipping local leaders.
- Bible Translation: Providing Scripture in the heart languages of unreached groups.
- Global Prayer Movement: Mobilizing believers to pray for every nation and people group.
- Holistic Mission Strategy: Partnering with humanitarian efforts to meet physical and spiritual needs.
Global Impact and Collaboration
Under Rick Warren’s leadership, FTT has grown into a significant global network, collaborating with thousands of churches and mission organizations worldwide. This initiative aims to catalyze efforts to reach every remaining unreached people group by combining data, resources, and mission expertise.
